One of the best bits about spending some time in recruitment is the gift of being able to speak and learn from some extremely talented candidates and clients in the industry….
One sales director taught me something I have never forgotten whilst I was lamenting over a trainee with such potential who wasn’t performing.
He said…
“The mistake you’re making is that you want it more than they do, you can’t want it more than they do”
Same goes for you, make sure you don’t want your advisers to succeed more than your advisers want themselves to succeed, you can only help them up as high as they want to go.
Very true Steve, you cant push someone who doesn’t wish to succeed!
Hi Stephen, just wanted to say thanks for the book – read it on holiday last week, very good.
Much appreciated.
