“It’s just business”

“It’s just business”, has long been used as justification for those looking to break a promise or act sharply.

The idea is that drawing an imaginary line between a business and a personal decision, makes it OK to not keep your word or principles.

The trouble is that it’s the same person who gets out of bed, the same person who acts during work, and the same person who who returns home to their loved ones, or friends, at night.

Turns out, you cannot perform consistently in a way that’s different from who you think you are.

In all cases then, it’s never “just business” its always “just you”.
