If you raise a child then your nurturing and development will enable that child to stand on their own two feet.

You may choose to own a dog, if you do then you will be looking after it for the rest of its life.

Your business is exactly the same…

Many accountants and advisers raise dogs, their business will always depend on them, whilst the few who raise children into adulthood can earn an income whether they work in the practice or not.

Using this analogy in regards to your practice sale, both dogs and children have a value. Choosing the wrong type of buyer however won’t help you achieve the true value of your beloved dog or child.
