Under-taking

A young girl travelling in the car asks her daddy…

“If taking over on that side is called over-taking then does that mean that taking over on the other side is called under-taking?”

Dad replies: “No, but it should be”.

As the world speeds up with these devices and other pressures making people busier and busier, doesn’t it seem that everybody is in a rush for something these days?

Next time you feel that pressure rising to rush and push we all need to stop and remember that…

“It’s better to be late in this world than early in the next”.

  1. My dad always told me when I was learning to drive that its better to be five minutes late in this world than 50 years early in the next. He also taught me to move back across to the left after passing others and not to sit in the middle lane frustrating other road users. Empathy and respect are important characteristics for accountants, leaders and (frankly) all of us.
