Dog-path

Holly was a family sheep dog who spent most of her time zooming around in a fenced paddock outside.

Despite the resource she had, within a month or so she had worn dog-paths in the grass. Instead of using the whole field she only ever stuck to the paths.

Dawned on me the other day that I do exactly the same thing and you probably do too.

The same route to and from work, the same hobbies, clubs or pubs for leisure, same friends and the usual routine for the weekend.

Of course, repeating along the dog-path means we are going to keep getting what we have been getting. Yet in work and out of hours, to experience the full field we do need to get off that dog-path every now and then.
