So according to the notes, the FCA were grilled by the TSC with the latter claiming that over-regulation and the new RDR regime was stifling advisor creativity.

Sure, it’s really hard to come up with a new advice business model, the law of averages are not going to be on your side, but it will be done and the only thing we think we know here in Yorkshire is that it will not be the Money Advice Service that leads the way.

Sadly, the costs of regulation can’t be returned to the sector so you can invest in new methods of delivering advice for the benefit of the consumer.

It’s a real shame that the profits the industry earn through honest hard work are squandered on a useless spin out like the MAS when history has repeatedly proven that it’s entrepreneurs and not quangos that create leaps forward in industry.
